Construction Estimator

Job Summary

The Construction Estimator is responsible for evaluating project requirements and preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects. This position will work closely with the Project Managers, Architects, and clients to ensure budgets align with project scope.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope of work.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and overhead.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.
  • Assist with project budgeting and cost management.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction industry trends, material costs, and labor rates.
  • Collaborate with project teams to assess value engineering opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in construction estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
  • Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Bluebeam).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines.
